The foundation of SuperQ is rooted in Staque - a high-performance computing company based in the UAE, Canada and USA. Staque was established in 2022 and began integrating quantum capabilities into its HPC ecosystem in 2023. These early initiatives garnered significant media coverage and attracted venture capital interest from the public markets. Ultimately, SuperQ Quantum emerged as a public entity on July 7, 2025 following the successful completion of a reverse takeover (RTO) / asset purchase process between Staque and Atco Mining after which Atco became SuperQ Quantum.
